On divination

The oracle listens to the secrets of the kings
and peers into those of the stars. Then,
in a whirlwind of intertwined truths
(for time is space, and stars are heavy, and the
night-sky shines on oracles and peoples regardless)
a prophecy is manifested:
for as is above, so is below,
and the dyad is indefinite,
and all life senses that of which pertains it,
so that humans know about swallows, and their migrations,
and swallows know about seasons, and their cycles,
and all three know of the night-sky, and its whirlwinds,
and the night-sky knows of all.
